میگوی خشک به دلیل امگا3 ، فسفر ، ویتامین D و E فراوان مورد توجه بسیاری از کشورهای عربی و اروپایی قرار گرفته است به طوری که آن را همردیف با خاویار می دانند .

این میگوها به نسبت سایر گوشت ها دارای کالری و چربی بسیار پایین تری هستند و کسانی که قصد کاهش وزن دارند می توانند به راحتی آنها را تهیه و خیالی آسوده مصرف کنند.
